Despite its many strengths, some diners have expressed concerns over the need for reservations, especially on bustling weekend nights. While the restaurant can sometimes accommodate walk-ins, a booking ensures a table. Certain patrons also noted that the all-you-can-eat option might feel overwhelming due to the extensive menu, resulting in some indecisiveness. A few customers mentioned that items could occasionally take longer to arrive during peak hours, though the quality consistently remains high. Though parking is available, the lot can fill up quickly during busy times, complicating access. Overall, while the restaurant shines in various aspects, a bit of planning and patience enhances the experience.
Found this gem when looking for somewhere to go Called in on a Saturday night without a booking and we’re very lucky to get a table Went for all you could eat option which you pick from the menu and the food is cooked and served fresh to you table, so you know it hasn’t been sat there being kept warm from hours like a buffet Food was all served piping hot The staff were all lovely and very attentive, asked before taking plates, checked if we wanted to reorder any food or drinks and to say it was a busy Saturday night they didn’t stop but were so pleasant Will be back again
Went to Royal City, all you can eat, with the in- laws, and was very satisfied. We did book a table but I am sure we would have been seated even if we hadn't. We tried a good portion of the starters and even ordered some more won ton. We had king prawn curry, (which I think was shrimp curry) which was very enjoyable, also beef in black bean and chicken in oyster sauce. Fried rice, noodles, garlic mushrooms and vegetables. And everything was very well prepared and tasted very nice. We left very full and happy, will return.
Incredible! The staff here are so lovely, the all you can eat is so so well priced at 21 pounds per person and its not a buffet, its all cooked fresh to order, the beef was perfectly tender, not even a single piece was chewy and all of the food was absolutely delicious. No wonder its reservation only.
I had my 40th birthday fine Dinning last party at Royal City on 2nd March. It was indeed a splendid experience. The staff were so supportive, friendly, and very approachable. The food tastes great. The atmosphere was top notch, and to crown it all , they decorated my session with my choice colours. Went there with a friends family on Mother's Day, and we had a swell time. You do need to worry about car park as they have a massive parking space right at the restaurant location. I would recommend Royal City any time, any day. Please visit ROYAL CITY and thank me later.
All you can eat smaller portions (as well as al a carte if you really want), loads of choice for meaties, veggies and vegans, all absolutely delicious. The hot and sour soup was particularly good. Never been before but can't wait to go again.
Went for the 1st time and it didn’t disappoint, for £21 all you can eat but cooked fresh to order and served to your table food was good and tasty, service was good and friendly nothing to much trouble and extremely polite! The restaurant itself is a bit dated and tired looking but was clean Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back
